BRC Basic Rider Course
This course is aimed at individuals with little or no riding experience.
The course covers the basics of operating a motorcycle, strategies for risk management, and safety-oriented mental strategies. These 3 components make a huge difference to the enjoyment and safety of your motorcycle riding.
It also provides a wealth of practical advice on basic motorcycle safety checks, the types and benefits of motorcycle-specific riding apparel, and time-proven techniques for becoming a safe, more confident rider.
Your training includes an e-course component; formal classroom activities and ten hours of riding instruction. Motorcycles and helmets are provided for your use. At the conclusion of each section, students will take both a written and skills test.
Upon the successful completion of this course, (passing both written and skills tests) riders receive a Colorado Motorcycle Operator Safety Training (MOST) Completion Card. This is a waiver of further testing at the Colorado DMV. Just take that card to the DMV and they will add the 2-wheel motorcycle “M” endorsement to your Colorado Driver’s License.
